In order to prepare our students in Preschool through Eighth grade to strive towards excellence, teachers use a variety of devices and resources to develop foundational skills and abilities for 21st century learners. Technology is used to help students develop effective academic and study skills, communicate and collaborate effectively, and demonstrate responsibility and integrity.
Lower Elementary Technology Access
Transitional Kindergarten through Third Grade have daily access to variety of devices including a shared carts of 30 iPads and 30 Chromebooks. Students use these devices to further develop their learning through the use of various educational programs and resources such as ST Math, Accelerated Math and Reading Programs, Spelling City, and Discovery Education.
Upper Elementary 1-to-1 Program
To prepare our students for learning in the 21st Century, students in Grades 4th and 5th experience a 1-to-1 iPad program of blended learning. This allows for our students to receive more individualized and differentiated instruction so they can meet and exceed the Common Core Standards requirements.
Students use various digital based resources to further develop their learning including Accelerated Math and Reading Programs, Discovery Education Techbooks, McGraw-Hill's Wonders ELA Program, ST Math, Spelling City, Newsela and Laudate. Students also use a variety of apps such as iMovie, Notability, Thinglink, and Educreations to demonstrate their learning.
