Letter from the Principal
Dear Saint Anne School Visitor,
Quality education, development of children’s talents and capabilities, character
formation for life–for growth toward adulthood that will bring back into our society the
security and freedom that, as parents and educators, we have the obligation and
privilege to foster–that is what the Saint Anne School total educational program is all
about! We collaborate with the parents, the first educators of their children:
Home: the family environment that is meant to be for children the setting where they
learn to love, share, and focus on values that promise personal fulfillment and all that is
necessary to place the world on a course toward that same fulfillment for others.
School: the educational environment where family values are reinforced with exposure to
knowledge and opportunities for the development of skills to pursue those values.
This year’s school theme, Extend Your Hand, promotes reliance and hope in God and
compassion for others, in our local and global community. These qualities are the healing
touch that we trust will allow for the restoration of peace in so many people currently
suffering the effects of hatred that has no place in our world. Our students, in their
prayers and actions, have extended that healing touch to others during the year—we
pray that they will continue to interiorize the lessons that they learn at Saint Anne School
and be of service to others throughout their entire lives.
In the Company of Mary,
Sister Cecilia Durán, O.D.N.
Principal
MISSION
Saint Anne Parish School embraces each student as a unique gift from God.
Recognizing that the parents are the primary educators of their children, the school
community is dedicated to providing for the spiritual, moral and academic formation of
their students. The vision of Saint Anne School is to guide and challenge the students
to be faith-filled, responsible, literate and critical thinkers who will become contributing
members of a multi-cultural society.
PHILOSOPHY
The administration, faculty members, and staff of Saint Anne Catholic School, under
the guidance of the Sisters of the Company of Mary and following the charisma of Saint
Jeanne de Lestonnac, are committed to providing a nurturing, constructive Christian
environment that fosters the positive formation and comprehensive education of the
whole child. The educational program is designed to promote the spiritual, moral, and
psychological growth, as well as the intellectual, creative, and physical development of
each child.
The parents as primary educators of their children, and the school community leaders,
strive to build, strengthen, and exemplify their beliefs as Christians, so that each child
may develop a conscious awareness of God's presence in daily life, experience a
meaningful personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and respond to this loving nature
as taught to us by the Catholic Church. Through the dynamics of our Christ-centered
community, the administration, faculty, and staff provide opportunities for the individual
child to participate in activities that ultimately address moral issues and social justice.
Saint Anne School offers a caring community and an educational environment in which
academic scholarship and Christian citizenship flourish. Each student has the
opportunity to achieve his/her individual potential in a way that develops healthy
feelings of self-worth. Traditional ideals and values are preserved so that the child will
be able to meet the multiple challenges of tomorrow effectively, with knowledge,
wisdom, and spiritual integrity that he/she has learned as a vital part of the school
community.
